Meetings are usually held on the third Sunday of the Month at 3:00 p.m. at the Irish Center.

New Members welcome!

Dear Member,

The June meeting is on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Irish Center. Please note the day and starting time change. We will join the Mayo Association after the meeting for a social. Snacks or desserts would be appreciated.

The Kathleen Meehan Scholarship will be drawn at this meeting. Contact me at 267-716-6753 if you want to place your child’s name in the draw. I have also attached the form to this e-mail. I will check the e-mail for the last time at 5:00 pm on June 18.

The Donegal Ball will be held on Saturday, November 27th. We will also conduct the Philadelphia Mary from Dungloe selection on the evening of the Ball. Contestants age 18 to 27 are welcome to participate and you can contact Chairperson Michele Mack 215-518-3403 or Coleen Katz 610-446-2676 for more information. Mary application forms are available on the Donegal Assoc. web site (www.philadonegal.com). Music will be provided by Blackthorn and The Vince Gallagher Band.

The Ball is the only fundraiser for our association Please try to obtain at least one advertisement over the summer so we can continue our generous charitable donations throughout the year. Ball ad forms will be available at the June meeting and via e-mail as well as on the Donegal web site. Ball tickets are $20 pre-sale and $25 at the door.

The Mid-Atlantic Rose of Tralee will be held on Saturday June 26th 2010 at the Irish Center starting at 7: 00 PM. Tickets are $35.00 per person which includes a buffet and music by Vince Gallagher Band. The Mayo Association will celebrate Our Lady of Knock Mass on Sunday, August 15 at 2:30PM in the Irish Center.

Warm wishes to Vera Gallagher on her birthday, June 18th

Best wishes to our Sick Steward Pat Bainum as she recovers from a fractured wrist and Marianne McDonald who has a torn knee ligament.
